Art Therapy

"You don’t need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy — just a willingness to explore."

Art therapy offers a creative and supportive way to explore emotions, reduce stress, and promote healing — no artistic skill required. Whether you're facing anxiety, trauma, grief, or simply feeling stuck, art therapy provides a gentle, non-verbal path to reconnect with yourself. Through drawing, painting, sculpting and other art forms, clients can express feelings that may be difficult to put into words, all within a safe and compassionate space. For children, sessions may include playful and sensory-based activities like collage, clay work, storytelling, and imaginative drawing to help them express and process emotions in developmentally appropriate ways.

Art therapy services at Mind Body Heart Psychology are available for children, teenagers, and adults. Each session is tailored to meet you or your child’s unique needs — whether that’s helping a child process big feelings, supporting a teen through life transitions, or guiding an adult through emotional healing or self-discovery. Led by a qualified art therapist, the sessions offer a calm, creative environment where expression and growth can unfold at your own pace.

Can we do online sessions instead of in-person?

Yes, online art therapy sessions can be conducted via secure video platforms. While it may look a little different from in-person sessions, online art therapy can still be deeply effective. Clients use materials they have at home — such as pens, markers, paint, or even digital drawing apps — and are guided through creative expression and reflection in real time with a qualified art therapist. It’s a flexible option for those who prefer to work from home or live outside the local area.
