Janice is a registered psychologist dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and respect. She provides warm, culturally sensitive, and neurodiversity-affirming therapy, and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. This allows her to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including international students and migrants adjusting to life in Australia.

In her previous and current roles, Janice provided therapy and psychological support to jobseekers experiencing significant mental health barriers, conducted psychological assessments for organisations such as South Australia Police, and worked with clients presenting with trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, and personality disorders. She also led a team of psychologists, providing clinical guidance, mentoring, and coordinating case reviews. These experiences have strengthened her ability to support people through complex personal, vocational, and emotional difficulties — skills she now brings into her private practice work.

Her therapeutic approach is client-centred, holistic, and strength-based. Janice believes that every person holds the capacity to become the expert of themselves, and sees therapy as a collaborative process that fosters healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Janice is trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She draws flexibly from these modalities to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Her areas of interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress and adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, self-esteem and identity concerns, as well as vocational and workplace-related issues. She also has experience providing ADHD screening and supporting clients with complex and high-risk presentations.

Outside of her clinical work, Janice enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and photography.
